Qualcomm has launched the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5, its new mobile chip that will power Android flagships coming in 2025.

Poco has confirmed in a post that it next-generation flagship smartphone will powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, but is still keeping the exact name of the phone a secret. But some rumors suggest that Poco is heading towards the F8 series, which is where the new processor is most likely to come.

Poco’s new chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, could power one of the Poco F8 Ultra or Poco F8 Pro phones.
The Poco F8 Pro expected to be a rebranded Redmi K90. It expected to feature a 6.59-inch flat RGB LED IPS panel, along with a 2K resolution display and 120Hz refresh rate, according to rumors.
It is also reported that this phone will have an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. In terms of performance, it may powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
The phone said to feature a 7,100mAh battery and support for 100W fast charging. It also features dual stereo speakers, a premium metal mid-frame, and an x-axis linear motor for improved optics.
With similar features, the F8 Ultra is most likely to come with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.
