Xiaomi own chipset spec and release date

For a few years now, there have been reports that Xiaomi has been developing a phone processor for its mobile phones. Even before this, last November, there was news that the company was going to manufacture its own phone chipset. Now, they are working on launching it.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed this information via a Wibeo post.

Xiaomi has named its own chipset Xring 01.

This was leaked by a Chinese-based digital chat station.

The chip is expected to feature an octa-core CPU using ARM cores, including a 3.25Ghz Cortex-X925 core, three 2.60Ghz Cortex-A725 cores, and four 2.0Ghz Cortex-A520 cores.

The frame uses a recent MediaTek 9400 processor, while the high-performance and performance cores are from the same family, so while they won’t directly compete with the latest flagships, their sub-flagship phones could offer solid performance.

Also, its GPU performance may be on par with the Snapdragon 8 gen2, and not only that, but the Adreno 740 used in it will also surpass it.

It has been reported that this chipset will be released at the end of this May.
