YouTube has implemented a new rule from September 3rd. This has come as a shock to those who have purchased the YouTube Premium Family Plan.
YouTube is following in the footsteps of OTT platforms like Netflix and Disney+ as it has started reducing the usage of YouTube Premium Family plans in different locations.
Premium will be part of a family group. But the service warns that anyone using an account in a different location than the family manager will have their family membership suspended in 14 days. This means that you will no longer be able to use the YouTube Premium family pack without being in the same location.
Because according to YouTube’s Premium Family Membership Terms of Service, all members of each family plan must live in the same household as the family manager, otherwise the premium plan will terminated for them.
